We are seeking an experienced OpenText Migration & Archiving Specialist to support the migration, consolidation, and archiving of enterprise content to the OpenText platform.
You will play a critical role in enabling secure, compliant, and efficient data retention strategies while ensuring minimal business disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support end-to-end content migration projects into OpenText Content Server, InfoArchive, or other OpenText ECM solutions.
- Design and implement archiving strategies aligned with regulatory, legal, and business retention policies.
- Analyze source systems (e.g., File Shares, SharePoint, legacy ECMs, databases) to assess volume, structure, metadata, and migration feasibility.
- Configure and administer OpenText tools including Content Server, InfoArchive, Archive Center, and OTIC (OpenText Integration Center).
- Develop and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using tools such as OpenText xECM, OTIC, or migration accelerators.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define metadata mapping, taxonomy, and classification standards.
- Perform validation, reconciliation, and post-migration quality checks to ensure data integrity.
- Work with compliance, records management, and legal teams to align archive policies with organizational requirements.
- Document technical specifications, runbooks, SOPs, and migration procedures.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams on OpenText archiving and retrieval processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in content migration and archiving within OpenText platforms.
- Hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server, InfoArchive, Archive Center, or similar ECM/archiving platforms.
- Proficient in migration tools such as OpenText OTIC, Kazeon, InfoFusion, or custom ETL tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise records management, retention policies, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, FINRA, HIPAA).
- Experience in scripting or development (e.g., Java, PowerShell, SQL) for automation and transformation tasks.
- Strong understanding of metadata modeling, taxonomy design, and folder structures.
- Familiarity with integrating OpenText with SAP, SharePoint, or other enterprise systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OpenText certifications (e.g., Content Server Administrator, InfoArchive Specialist).
- Experience in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare, or government.
- Knowledge of cloud-based OpenText deployments (e.g., OpenText Cloud, Azure, AWS).
