VMware Engineer

Security Clearance Required for this role:

• Must have a NV1 and NV2 security clearance
• Current OSA clearance highly desirable
• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Mon to Fri - office hours ACT location

We’re looking for an experienced VMware Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering secure, modern, and automated VMware environments across both cloud and on-premises platforms.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and delivering VMware solutions across complex, multi-environment landscapes.
• Building automation for Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) operations using VMware vRA (Aria) and vRO.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align deployments with VMware best practices.
• Developing detailed design documentation and operational artefacts to support delivery.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience:

• Strong track record in designing and deploying VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware Horizon.
• Hands-on experience with VMware automation/orchestration tools to drive SDDC deployment.
• Solid background working in DevSecOps environments, including CI/CD methodologies.
• VMware Director, NSX-T, Advanced Load Balancer (Avi), and HPE infrastructure. vRealize/Aria products (vRA etc.)

Highly desirable experience:

• Security hardening of VMware products to meet national/international standards.
• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
