Wintel Engineer - Windows Infrastructure Engineer

NV2 Security Clearance required

6-Month Contract Opportunity – Winter Engineer (NV2) | Canberra

We are seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer to design, build, secure and support Microsoft Windows server environments supporting mission-critical Defence and national security services. This hands-on Level 3 role will focus on engineering, automation, platform lifecycle management and technical assurance within a highly controlled NV2 environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure and maintain Windows Server platforms and supporting infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificate services and identity integrations.
• Automate repeatable administration, build and compliance tasks using PowerShell and configuration tooling.
• Monitor platform health, investigate complex incidents and deliver durable root-cause remediation.
• Apply security hardening, vulnerability remediation, patching and change controls in line with Defence requirements.
• Maintain system designs, build records, operating procedures, risk artefacts and knowledge documentation.

Minimum Required Experience

• Five or more years in enterprise Windows infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Demonstrated Level 3 support experience across highly available Windows Server environments.
• Experience delivering infrastructure changes through formal change, release and configuration management.
• Experience operating in secure government, Defence or other regulated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication capability.
