Security Clearance Required for this role:
- Must have a Current NV1 security clearance.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- This will be an Office based role in Canberra.
- ITAR - You will be required to comply with the US International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) as the candidate may need to handle export-controlled ICT (hardware and software) products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed project plans for Navy platforms, ensuring alignment with key stakeholder requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with stakeholders, including NSG-SPO, ISSC, NI&IWB, and more.
- Facilitate the approval process for Request for Problem Resolution (RPR) and support project deployment planning.
- Collaborate closely with Installation and Engineering Managers to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate engineering risks while providing strategic, specialist advice.
- Develop engineering control processes and project documentation.
- Prepare and manage project costs, including conducting due diligence on contractor quotes.
Must have Required Skills and Experience:
- Essential: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Essential: Proven experience as a Systems Engineer within Defence, particularly with Navy Platforms.
- Essential: Familiarity with Navy AD514 Engineering processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in planning and executing technical project delivery.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in the Defence Maritime Environment.
- Knowledge of Defence Capability Lifecycle Projects.
- Experience with SEA2273 and working with Ship Class SPOs and ISSCs.
- Background in Military, APS, or Defence contracting.
