Security Clearance Required for this role:

  • Must have a Current NV2 security clearance.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • This will be an Office based role in Canberra.
  • ITAR - You will be required to comply with the US International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) as the candidate may need to handle export-controlled ICT (hardware and software) products. 


We are seeking a skilled Security Technician to join our team and support the design, implementation, and management of cutting-edge cyber solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust cyber solutions aligned with best practices and security frameworks.
  • Maintain and upgrade advanced cyber tools, ensuring seamless integration with ICT services in the Minerva stack.
  • Remediate defects in cyber toolsets and contribute to the successful development of Defence systems.
  • Author and review solution designs, SOPs, and essential documentation.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Proven experience as a Security Technician in Defence environments.
  • Expertise in designing and supporting cyber toolsets across large-scale, distributed systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Fortinet, CyberArk, and Carbon Black products.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, including Zero Trust, Tiered Models, and Security Boundaries.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with the SEA2273 Minerva system and the Defence security threat landscape.
  • Knowledge of frameworks and standards such as ISM, NIST, and ISO27001.
  • Experience working with ITAR-controlled hardware and software.
