Title: Senior Maker and Concept Creator
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 3 months contract

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
It doesn’t matter what part of the process I get pulled into, I'm ready.
- Hybrid role between Design and Development
- Create & assemble prototype garments based on new design concepts, seasonally.
- Design creates the initial design sketch/Clo
- MCC develops Clo pattern & proto garments, or construction detail as proof of concept
- If concept is adopted into season assortment, MCC passes Clo pattern to TD & helps with any questions about construction.
- **Helps with proof of concept from ideation
- Work closely with Design team during concepting phase of development
- MCC provides Nike material/trim/finish options for proto style based off of concept direction.
- MCC advises on construction details.
- Concept/Prototype garment should/will reflect the tone/vibe of seasonal concept direction
- MCC makes proto garments to meet high standards- completing the interior, adding graphic elements, adding appropriate trims.
- Create & assemble bespoke one-of-one garments for athlete/entertainer/collaborator and/or coordinates with factory on special/bespoke pieces. If needed - Attends fittings with athlete/entertainer/collaborator to help advise answers or suggestions in real time.
- Work on complicated/LLT special styles that require more attention for in-line or off calendar. Works with factory/vendors
- Considered a resource for construction & details.
- Will create/house a library of trim/construction/detail ideas/inspiration.
- Attends innovation presentations from factories and/or vendors. What are new methods of make? What are new ideas that can be applied to the seasonal concepts? Lights, magnets, fabrics, etc.
WHAT YOU BRING
Capabilities:
- Sewing/assembling garments
- Patternmaking skills
- Clo and/or Optitex experience
- Understanding of fit/tone/aesthetic
- Sourcing materials & trims
WHO YOU WORK WITH
How the role can function within the team:
- Clear path of communication- Directors identifies the needs of the maker.
- Asses the timeline for each proto, potentially leverage concept calendar seasonally (wks 100-80) based on timing of requests.
- Approval and alignment process – any work/proto/bespoke garment will need to be reviewed by TD & Design Leadership before sending out.
- Expectations for check ins will be accessed by MCC and/or PM.
