Title: Research Associate – Field Research Team

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 8 months contract

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) is a multidisciplinary team of researchers, innovators, and scientists who lead with science to make athletes* measurably better. We deliver validated insights and innovative capabilities to drive the future of Nike products and services.

The Field Research team in the NSRL studies athletes* as they move outside of the Lab, in their daily lives and environments, using sensors, surveys, and more. We are looking for a passionate Research Associate to help plan and execute large scale field research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day logistics and support data collection & analysis for sport research programs.
  • Interact with researchers, athletes, and other staff to communicate study details, troubleshoot equipment, and provide updates.
  • Oversee inventory management of research tools and product.
  • Summarize and visualize data from research.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations. 

WHAT YOU BRING

Skills

  • Familiarity with biomechanics, performance research, wearable sensors, motion capture, and force plates.
  • Experience with data processing, aggregation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Matlab preferred.
  • High level of initiative and ability to perform tasks independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Exposure to industry research preferred.
