Title: Data Engineer 5

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 9-month contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Establish and maintain database management systems, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ensure quality assurance for database deliverables including conceptual design, logical databases, capacity planning, and security policies.
  • Document and communicate database designs clearly and effectively.
  • Evaluate, install, and support database management systems.
  • Code complex programs and define logical processes on technical platforms.
  • Build windows, screens, and reports, and assist in designing user interfaces and application prototypes.
  • Participate in quality assurance and develop test application code in a client-server environment.
  • Provide expertise in designing and defending database tables and fields.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Adapt business requirements into data and database specifications.
  • Define table and element attributes for applications.
  • Analyze and understand original data and storage mechanisms.
  • Determine data appropriateness for storage and optimal organization.
  • Design relational models by defining how tables and fields interact.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a business/process leader or industry expert.
  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience with:
  • Databricks
  • AWS
  • Apache Spark
  • Python
  • PySpark
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets from various sources.
