Title: Product Validation Analyst

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 1 Year contract

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world's best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Product Validation Analyst to work with athletes to support the development of innovative products that blend hardware, software, and human performance. This role is responsible for performing hands-on system validation with athletes, regression testing, and issue triaging across frequent releases to ensure internal readiness, consistency, and quality.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working at the intersection of athlete experience and system behavior. You enjoy creating and executing structured testing and turning complex system behavior into clear, actionable insight for engineering teams.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Plan, recruit, schedule and execute frequent, hands-on athlete testing of experimental athlete systems for walking, running, and other real-world scenarios
  • Conduct hands‑on testing with athletes and actively gather qualitative feedback, while working effectively with early‑stage systems that may evolve or behave inconsistently
  • Support both continuous, real-world testing and structured, protocol-driven validation to ensure full requirements coverage
  • Collect, analyze, and categorize system and usage data to identify trends, regressions, and anomalies
  • Capture and document unexpected or undesirable behaviors with clear steps to reproduce and supporting data
  • Perform issue triaging and initial root cause investigation to help direct issues to the appropriate engineering subsystem team
  • Perform regression testing across releases to ensure consistent function
  • Leverage AI tools to support test execution, data analysis, and synthesis of complex system behavior into actionable insights
  • Translate athlete feedback and qualitative perception into structured, comparable findings
  • Manage multiple testing tracks in parallel, including ongoing athlete testing, structured protocol validation, and timely analysis of incoming data
  • Partner closely with engineering, research, and program teams to support release readiness and quality gates

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners including sports scientists, engineers, researchers, QA, and program managers. You’ll work closely with teams responsible for system behavior, embedded software, and athlete experience to ensure testing insights are clear, actionable, and trusted.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
  • 2+ years of experience in system testing, validation, or quality-focused technical roles
  • Experience with human subject testing, field testing, or real-world system validation
  • Experience testing or debugging electromechanical, robotic, or software-driven systems
  • Builder and maker mindset with the ability to define testing approaches, create structure from ambiguity, and operate independently without step-by-step guidance
  • Strong ability to observe, isolate, and describe unexpected system behavior
  • Experience analyzing data using tools such as MATLAB or Python
  • Experience with embedded sensors, mechatronics, or hardware-software integrated systems

Nice to Have

  • Background in biomechanics, human movement, or applied mechanics
  • Experience with embedded sensors, mechatronics, or hardware-software integrated systems
  • Skilled at using LLMs and modern AI tools such as Cursor or similar to accelerate testing, analysis, and technical workflows
  • High attention to detail and comfort executing repeatable test protocols
  • Strong technical intuition and curiosity about system behavior
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, iterative environments with frequent releases
  • Team-first mindset with a bias toward clarity and rigor
