Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 3-month contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Establish and manage database systems, standards, and quality assurance for deliverables like conceptual design, logical databases, capacity planning, data loading plans, and security policies
• Evaluate and install database management systems
• Design and build data pipelines, windows, screens, and reports
• Assist in the design of user interface and business application prototypes
• Participate in quality assurance and test application code in a client-server environment
• Adapt business requirements into data specifications, database design, and table/element attributes
• Provide expertise on data modeling, storage mechanisms, and table relationships within relational models

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

• Designing and maintaining complex data pipelines
• Modeling data to support business applications
• Coding in SQL and Python
• Working with Spark and Databricks to manage large-scale data processing
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and communicate solutions
• Supporting data infrastructure and ensuring optimum data storage and organization

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• 8–9 years of experience in the IT sector, including 3–5 years in a dedicated data engineering role
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, Spark, Databricks, data pipeline design, and data modeling
• Databricks certification is a nice to have
• Strong collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal)
