Title: Print and Pattern Designer

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 6 months contract

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world's best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Kids Print & Pattern Designer will be responsible for creating original, playful, and trend-right designs for our Kids apparel. This role requires a strong eye for detail, color, and composition, as well as a deep understanding of designing for children’s products across multiple age ranges. The ideal candidate brings a passion for kids’ fashion, the ability to translate seasonal concepts into commercially viable prints, and an understanding of how graphics support movement, play, and durability in sport and lifestyle products.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will develop and create original print and pattern designs for a wide range of Kids apparel products, informed by research into current market trends, color stories, cultural influences, and kid‑specific insights. You will create detailed design specifications and technical pattern repeats, separations, and colorways for production, using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite to build and refine artwork.

This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously across seasons, categories, and age groups, meeting key deadlines, and participating in design reviews while providing thoughtful, constructive feedback to peers.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Kids product development team to ensure designs align with brand vision, athlete and consumer insights, and kid‑specific performance and wear requirements. In addition to partnering within Design, you will work cross‑functionally with development, color, and larger brand moments.

You will collaborate closely with the broader Kids graphic design, apparel design, and footwear design teams, along with other cross‑category partners.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in print and pattern design, preferably within apparel, footwear, or a related consumer product industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of print and pattern designs
  • Solid understanding of color theory, pattern repeat techniques, and textile processes
  • Strong creative and artistic skills with a refined eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently while excelling in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and presentation skills

We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.
