Title: Software Engineer 5

Location: Remote, US

Duration: 3 months contract

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Leads the design and development of technical solutions that have significant strategic, long-term impact on the business and achieve competitive advantage for the company, aligned with the strategic objectives of Nike and future architectural standards.
  • Brings technical knowledge into the organization from external sources and links new, emerging technologies with business needs.
  • Drives the development of productive networks with stakeholders, including internal business partners and vendors.
  • Ensures technical support and problem resolution for stakeholder inquiries and production issue resolution meets business needs, making changes to processes as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in software engineering roles with increasing responsibility
  • Proven full stack engineering experience with demonstrated ability to work across all layers of application architecture
  • Extensive experience with .NET framework and ecosystem
  • Strong background in web application development and deployment
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL Server, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level proficiency in C# programming language with deep understanding of object-oriented principles
  • Comprehensive experience with MVC (Model-View-Controller) architectural pattern and ASP.NET MVC framework
  • Advanced JavaScript skills including ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, and modern development practices
  • Proficient in React framework including component lifecycle, state management, and modern React patterns
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful Web Services and API development
  • Working knowledge of Databricks platform for big data analytics and machine learning workflows
  • Experience with Teradata data warehouse solutions and enterprise data management
  • Strong foundation in HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
  • Understanding of software testing frameworks and test-driven development
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed system
