Duration: 3 months contract

The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role operates within Global Sales while working extensively across Global Tech, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain, Brand, Legal, AI Governance, Enterprise AI, and other partners.

Working within an established Global Sales AI strategy, this role sustains momentum and delivery during a period of leave coverage, with a primary focus on leading the day-to-day operations of the Sales AI Lab and keeping cross-functional partners aligned as the program matures.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced program leader to provide coverage for the Principal, Global Sales AI during an approximately three-month leave. The AI strategy and operating direction are already defined and in motion; this role is responsible for driving execution, most notably leading the newly launched Sales AI Lab, which will still be in its early stages. The successful candidate will keep the Lab’s operational cadence running, help define and align the business cases that emerge from it, and maintain continuity across stakeholders and initiatives so the program does not lose momentum during the coverage period.

This role works with significant autonomy, solving ambiguous and novel problems through independent judgment while operating within existing strategy and governance frameworks. It requires strong program management, credibility with senior stakeholders, and the ability to keep cross-functional work moving without direct authority.

Key skills, experience, and qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, digital transformation, data, technology, or enterprise program leadership
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
  • Strong fluency in AI concepts, data foundations, and responsible governance applied in a business context
  • Demonstrated program and operating-cadence management, running recurring forums, intake, and reporting rhythms
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to executive and non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will lead the operational delivery of the Global Sales AI agenda during the coverage period, with the Sales AI Lab as your primary focus. You will operate at the intersection of enablement, governance, and execution, keeping the Lab running, advancing the initiatives already underway, and ensuring AI continues to deliver value across Sales. You will stay engaged with the full scope of the Global Sales AI agenda, though prioritization of the broader focus areas remains with their respective owners except where the work is Lab related.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Sales AI Lab in its early stages, acting as the operational point person that connects business needs to the Lab and drives participation across geographies
  • Driving the Lab’s operating cadence, including bi-weekly working sessions, monthly intake reviews, and quarterly leadership readouts, plus mid-quarter stakeholder check-ins
  • Helping define and align the business cases that come out of the Lab, ensuring each is tied to a clear owner and to Revenue, Time Recovered, or Capability outcomes
  • Managing the governed intake-to-scale process (submit, evaluate, route, build, catalog, scale) so work stays visible, reusable, and appropriately governed
  • Partnering with Legal, AI Governance, Enterprise AI, and IT partners to ensure responsible, compliant, and scalable AI adoption and to manage enterprise scale-up handoffs
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for senior leaders and geo sponsors, providing status, surfacing risks, and maintaining continuity throughout the coverage period
  • Empowering and enabling Sales teams, builders, trainers, and leads, through approved tools, training, and hands-on support
  • Representing Global Sales in enterprise AI forums to keep the Lab connected to broader AI direction and standards
