Title: Digital Product Designer
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 5 months contract

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Create, evaluate and modify prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development
- Develop user profiles with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task analyses
- Apply software design and usability processes to investigate technical problems
- Provide product usability evaluation and support to product development teams
- Analyze applications and systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, and voice response interactions
- Support templates, components, and documentation for Nike to build better communications
- Collaborate closely with 4 designers, marketing communications partners, and product partners
- Assist in developing design concepts and implementation while providing input on user design considerations
- Produce specifications describing user requirements and internal structures for products in development
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in technical product design/web design (UX/UI)
- Direct experience designing systems (UX, design strategy) strongly preferred
- Degree preferred but not required for this role
Technical Skills:
- Fundamental UX/UI experience and visual design expertise
- Systems design knowledge
- Proficiency in Figma (documentation, building components)
- Portfolio demonstrating UX, UI, and design systems skills required
Soft Skills:
- Systems thinker with technical aptitude
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and comfortable asking for help when needed
