Title: Financial Analyst

Duration: 6 Month Contract

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

At our Global headquarters, located in Downtown Boston, we are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Global SG&A. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong professional accomplishments to join one of the most iconic and innovative global consumer brands. The role has high exposure to the all functional areas of the business and provides an excellent platform for further professional growth. You will report to the Manager, Global SG&A and be responsible for forecasting, planning, and consolidating the Operating Overhead expenses and provide cross functional leadership and strategic thought partnership to your business partners to ensure we deliver on financial commitments and that we are prioritizing investments and tracking associated benefits. You will help facilitate and drive data driven analytics and the key storytelling for stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • The nature of the work is focused on the monetary affairs of the company.
  • Participates in the timely, accurate, and efficient administration of the appropriate financial system to ensure accurate financial statements, appropriate internal controls, compliance with NIKE policies and delivery of value added information.
  • Completes system documentation including standardized work instructions and operating procedures are up to date and available for all users.
  • Ensures appropriate security access of end users to the applications supported consistent with NIKE Inc. policies. Perform periodic validation of system security to ensure compliance to policy.
  • Ensures that there is appropriate training to business users of the systems supported and administrated.
  • Provides advanced training as ""lead expert / super users"" to ""power users"".
  • Participates in the preparation of timely and insightful financial ""lead expert / super users"" to ""power users"".
  • Participates in the preparation of timely and insightful financial reporting of pertinent information to allow analysis of progress against strategic plan, budget and forecast, and to ensure integrity of the financial statements.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor/Master degree required with a minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience
  • Experience working for a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is a plus
  • Certifications: MBA (Finance, Economics, or related fields), CMA or CPA preferred
  • Innate desire to continuously explore, learn, and exercise intellectual curiosity; comfort with ambiguity and ability to quickly adapt to competing/changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
  • Advanced and detailed knowledge of excel functionalities associated with financial modeling
  • Knowledge and use of SAP and Business Objects preferred
