WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an Inventory Planner to join the North America Inventory Management team. This planner will be passionate about the Converse brand and product and excited to work in a fast paced and cooperative environment.

We are looking for a candidate to be a process improvement expert. The role will complete inventory analysis and make key decisions that will drive opportunity and service levels while balancing risk with inventory ownership. This role will also heavily drive data analysis and propel reporting and data visualization forward for the Inventory Management team and our cross functional partners.

The candidate needs to be entrepreneurial, process oriented, and a fact based and analytical decision maker. We are looking for someone who is proactive, curious, and embraces growth and evolution. The ideal candidate questions that status quo and is looking to drive progress and change. They are also someone who truly loves data, excels at Excel, and appreciates at good pun.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with the NA Inventory Team and be the owner of short lead time process management, evaluating the current process and partnering with team members and cross functional stakeholders on process improvements and process documentation.

A typical day/week looks like checking in on updates to KPIs, engaging with stakeholders to learn all needed perspectives and roles impacting the buying processes, managing production orders with our trading company, and doing continuous inventory analysis and decision making to drive opportunity and service levels. Most importantly, this role will be asking “why” and looking for areas of opportunity for process improvements daily.

Additionally, this role will work both internally in the Inventory Management team and with several cross functional partners to drive data governance and create new reporting and data views for Inventory and Inventory KPIs.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be reporting to the North America Inventory Manager on the North America Operations team. You will proactively collaborate with many groups throughout Converse, including but not limited to, Integrated Marketplace Planning, Commercial, Finance, Direct to Consumer, and Global Supply Planning. You will also work very closely with our distribution center and trading company.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 4 year Degree
  • 2+ years of related experience in forecasting, purchasing, planning, inventory management or replenishment in a consumer goods company.
  • Above average Excel and Power Point skills.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Alteryx experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to generate and use quantitative, as well as qualitative data for analysis and decision-making purposes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage and influence leaders across the organization.
