Title: Color Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 2-month contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute color designs and finalize product details, ensuring proactive follow-through on the execution of color for each product.
- Actively seek expert input from color design and category organizations to develop appropriate and innovative solutions.
- Review all samples to achieve marketable results, collaborating with design, marketing, and development teams.
- Clearly communicate all changes for final confirmation and take responsibility for color in the final product outcome.
- Maintain and manage color calendars, timelines, and deadlines for the category.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Develop line art, color design server, GPIN, PDM, merchandising line, and cutting samples.
- Coordinate with the material consultant to align materials with product requirements.
- Plan product details in collaboration with design, product marketing, and development/material consultants to ensure color solutions align with market success.
- Gather and analyze category-specific information including consumer insights, channels, and market data.
- Develop solutions that balance quality, cost/value, manufacturability, sustainability, merchandising, and aesthetic finish.
- Create and execute innovative, retailable color solutions for category or gender-specific lines.
- Collaborate with the Color Design Director, Sr. Color Designer, or Color Designer II to establish seasonal, category-specific direction for color, materials, and graphics that reflect design philosophy and product performance.
- Gain experience in building seasonal category lines and deepen understanding of market and lifestyle trends that influence and impact the category.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Degree not required for this role.
- 1–2 years of experience in design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong trend awareness and knowledge of fashion/streetwear brands.
- A creative, idea-driven mindset—someone who generates ideas and doesn’t just follow orders.
- A foundational understanding of color and design principles.
- A growing knowledge of market and lifestyle trends.
- Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail in executing color design solutions.
