WHAT YOU WILL DO
Color Design Execution
- Plan and execute innovative color designs for products, communications, and collateral materials
- Collaborate with design, product marketing, development and material consultants to create market-focused color solutions
- Review samples to achieve marketable solutions with design, marketing and development teams
- Communicate changes clearly for final confirmation
- Maintain color calendars, timelines, and deadlines to ensure timely product completion
- Develop line art, manage color design server, create GPIN and merchandising lines
- Coordinate with material consultants and finalize product details
- Share advanced knowledge and mentor team members
Color Solutions & Strategy
- Create innovative, retailable color solutions for category or gender-specific product lines
- Research and deliver color, design, market and lifestyle trends that impact the product development process
- Propose seasonal color strategies for products, line segments and initiatives
- Create seasonal category-specific direction for color, materials and graphics
- Partner with Category and Design Directors to develop color merchandising strategies
Consumer Research & Market Intelligence
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of consumer and brand-positioning needs
- Utilize consumer knowledge to improve product performance and appearance
- Maintain strong knowledge of competitor products, retail habits, and market trends
- Apply consumer insights into effective color solutions
Presentations & Communication
- Present category-specific color direction and merchandising strategies to stakeholder groups
- Produce presentation materials that communicate color direction related to consumer needs and creative strategy
- Participate in bi-annual category/divisional color planning for footwear color committee preparation
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's Degree + minimum 5 years directly relevant work experience
- PhD or Law Degree + 3 years relevant experience
- Master's Degree + 4 years relevant experience
- Associate's Degree + 6 years relevant experience
- High School Diploma + 7 years relevant experience
