Duration: 6 months contract

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with product development, design, engineering and materials supply chain to provide material solutions on footwear. You'll partner with material design to develop material palettes infused with energy, considering base, price, performance and sustainability.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nature of the work balances both internal or external production of products. We are looking for a future material developer who can collaborate with vendors, the product creation team and other functions to ensure timely delivery of product with excellence for athletes!

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of experience, education or training
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience desired in chemistry, materials, footwear, apparel, product creation, project management, or innovation
  • Solid understanding of the product creation process or footwear/materials design
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize multiple work streams across different timelines
  • Attention to detail, active follow through, assertiveness, self motivation

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a member of the Materials Development Team, you will be focused on driving rapid paced product creation, bringing new designs to life. 

  • You will collaborate with design and product creation functions to covert project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business
  • You will track and facilitate prototype and sample creation to address key issues in product creation process
  • You will utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence
  • You will engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability and sustainability targets
  • You will ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured
  • You will work with external collaborators and vendors to ensure project success
  • You will ensure adequate documentation process changes related to materials while ensuring the material supply chain is set up for commercial success
