Title: Sourcing Manager, Technology

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 9 month contract


What you will do


  • Drive stakeholder alignment with leadership across Nike functions and geographies
  • Understand Nike’s business needs and leverage data and market research to determine and enable strategic objectives
  • Perform deep market analytics and research to develop expertise across technology categories
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies and processes across Nike’s software category
  • Analyze business proposals and align with long-term strategies
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead contract negotiations with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Skills


  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, finance, pre-law or related field with 7 years directly relevant work experience in Technology Procurement.
  • Work experience would pertain directly to Software sourcing (Software, SaaS), including experience negotiating strategic multi-year contracts with Tier 1 Software suppliers (examples include Microsoft, Adobe, SAP)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Actively researches market trends and utilizes best practices to support sourcing activities
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive 2nd level insights from unstructured data
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret spend and cost data, including understanding of Total Cost of Ownership
  • Experience using different negotiation tactics; proven success negotiating multi-million dollar contracts
  • Experience supporting legal teams in contract development activities, including knowledge of standard contract structures and key terms
  • Expert at time-management; ability to actively manage 10-20 projects at anytime and self-prioritize daily work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including advanced level PowerPoint and Excel
  • An ability to think Globally and work with an international culturally diverse team
  • Passion for the NIKE brand
