Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

We have an excellent internal opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician, to work in a team environment with clinical pharmacists and other hospital staff to ensure accurate and timely access to medication for patients.  

The successful candidate will be involved in medication supply and inventory management, wholesaler ordering and goods receipting, dispensing of prescriptions, non-sterile and sterile manufacturing and providing assistance to clinical pharmacists at ward or clinic level. Experience in pharmacy, and in particular hospital pharmacy practice, will be an advantage, as will experience with electronic dispensing and inventory systems. 

Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong customer service experience, good computer skills, attention to detail, the ability to work effectively as an effective pharmacy team member, excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound time management, planning and prioritisation skills.
