Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
NHW Community Palliative Care multidisciplinary team is looking for an experience Occupational Therapist to join the team. The primary role of the OT within Community Palliative Care is to provide best practice interventions to Palliative Care clients in their homes across the Rural City of Wangaratta and Alpine Shire, supporting clients to maintain quality of life through end of life care. They will possess a high level of clinical knowledge, act as a clinical resource for staff and be expected to undertake supervision of junior OT staff and students.
The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist is expected to continuously update their skill and knowledge relevant to Palliative Care and work collaboratively with clients, peers and the dedicated multidisciplinary team across NHW and external service providers. The role is well supported by clinical supervision from a Grade 3 or 4 Occupational Therapist and regular internal education program.
