Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

More than 700 babies are born every year at Northeast Health Wangaratta thanks to the dedication of our high-performing midwifery team. 

Caring for women from early pregnancy until birth and beyond, Northeast Health midwives provide care across the childbirth spectrum. Joining our midwifery team means having the opportunity to work in one of the busiest regional centres in north east Victoria, providing care to women and babies in a supportive environment. 

Our maternity unit:

  • Services a large rural and regional catchment area which supports diversity and equity for all women. Our numbers of births are growing along with the population growth in beautiful northeast Victoria

Ours is a highly connected team with strong shared values and a commitment to excellence. We currently have vacancies for permanent part-time and full time roles and are ideally looking for RN/RM’s or RM’s who have a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience and can work independently and confidently across all areas.

The successful applicant will benefit from:
