Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services. NHW is also home to Illoura, our Residential Aged Care Facility. Illoura is a modern 66 bed, fully accredited facility, comprising of 50 single rooms and 8 double/twin rooms.
Illoura is currently seeking Registered Nurses who are passionate about a career in aged care. Applicants must have current AHPRA registration, excellent clinical knowledge, commitment to resident centred care and strong leadership skills.
The care team at Illoura includes registered nurses, enrolled nurses, diversional therapists, lifestyle assistants and health care workers and is supported by skilled administrators and volunteers. Our qualified staff are highly skilled and provide care for residents who are frail, who have complex medical conditions or who have dementia.
Applicants are required to be able to work day, evening and night shifts as rostered. A sound knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument documentation and the new Aged care Standards is essential.
