Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

The Maternity Services Unit is a progressive unit that boasts modern Birthing, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery facilities. The ward is well supported through the Education Department of the hospital and is well regarded within the region as a resource for Midwifery practice. We can offer the successful candidate the following:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Maternity Services Unit 
  • Contribute to and support the strategic direction and management within Maternity Services Division
  • Provide positive leadership, support the nursing and midwifery team and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in management of change processes, risk management and quality improvement processes. 
  • Preparedness to work across all shifts including Night Duty
