Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

An exciting leadership opportunity exists at Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead our Central Sterile Department (CSD).

This pivotal role is delegated responsibility from the Nurse Unit Manager of Perioperative Services and offers the chance to make a significant impact on service delivery and team culture. The ANUM CSD plays a critical role in providing daily leadership and operational management to the CSD, working collaboratively with Instrument Technicians to foster a positive and supportive work environment.

This position requires a strong commitment to excellence, with an emphasis on staff accountability and adherence to NHW values and code of conduct. You will be responsible for ensuring all sterilising practices comply with Australian Standards AS 5369:2023 and uphold the highest standards of infection prevention and control. As the ANUM CSD, you will lead by example, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency while delivering a high-quality, cost-effective sterilising service.

This role operates under the delegation and in close partnership with the NUM Perioperative Services, offering the opportunity to contribute to the strategic goals of the department while supporting the development and performance of your team.
