Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

We are currently seeking compassionate and flexible health care workers to join our team as Personal on a casual basis. This role involves providing high-quality care across all wards of our main campus hospital, supporting the delivery of nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

As a HCW, you will assist with the personal care and hygiene needs of patients and residents, contributing to their overall comfort and well-being. This includes providing emotional support and engagement through diversion therapy activities, helping to enhance the patient experience. You will also carry out duties in accordance with the health service’s requirements and the HCW classification descriptors.

To be successful in this role, you should hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or an equivalent qualification, and ideally have experience in a hospital or aged care setting. Strong communication skills, a commitment to patient-centred care, and the ability to work across a range of clinical areas are essential. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as shifts will vary depending on the needs of each ward.
