NHW have an exciting internal opportunity for an experienced Registered Midwife to fill the role of Clinical Support Nurse.
The Clinical Support role is responsible to provide safe, structured learning opportunities within the clinical environment to professional entry students, with a focus on basic history-taking, physical examination and procedural skills.
The appointee will work closely with the Clinical Educator – Clinical Skills and the Clinical Educator – Simulation to provide students with the opportunity to practice physical examination and procedural skill in the simulated environment as required. The CSM role has a close liaison role with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Clinical Support team and other clinical staff in the health service to coordinate activities for optimal learning in an interprofessional environment. As part of the Education and Research (ERU) team the role will be involved in activities of the ERU when commitments with students allow.
Clinical Support Staff work within the AHPRA Competency and/or Professional Practice Standards relevant to the individuals Discipline /Scope of Practice, Code of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct.
