Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

Applications are sought from experienced Registered Nurses within our Cancer & Wellness Service for the position of a casual Stomal Therapy Nurse. This position is an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team focusing on Stomal Care supporting clients, carers and providers pre and post surgery with a patient centred care approach. 

The Stomal Therapy Nurse provides expert advice to inpatients, outpatients, public and private healthcare organisations for operative counselling, support, education, clinical management and general information. This support is regular and ongoing for the life of the stoma.

Our Cancer & Wellness Service operates 5 days a week , working closely with clients, families and Primary Health Providers within the Rural City of Wangaratta and Alpine Shire.
