How You Will Impact Company Success
The Onboarding Team Lead is responsible for training, monitoring, and leading the Onboarding Team. They will provide daily objectives, communicate any issues with upper management, and resolve any issues to reach business goals effectively. This role includes managing a team and motivating them to do their job efficiently.
What Are Your Key Accountabilities / Tasks
- Management
- Ability to set clear team goals and drive team performance.
- Responsible for training team members, setting strategy, and monitoring progress towards goals.
- Manage onboarding workloads, capacity, and coverages.
- Manage capacity planning and ensure cross training coverages for departmental needs.
- Triage onboarding escalations to ensure proper resolution.
- Monitor proper completion of onboarding requirements, SLA’s, and metrics.
- Discover training needs and provide coaching.
- Listen to team member’s feedback and resolve issues or conflicts.
2. Compliance
- Align onboarding processes to ensure compliance with client requirements, company organizational policies, and state/local/federal laws and guidelines for hiring.
- Ensure compliance with performing, storing, and escalating pre-employment verifications including but not limited to drug test, background checks, I9 and e-verify verifications.
- Manage the system set up of new customers and modifications as needed.
3. Maintain Hubb and Vendor Platforms
- Must demonstrate proficient knowledge of EOR onboarding workflow in the Hubb, UKG Onboarding portal, and I9 Advantage.
- Serve as subject matter expert on onboarding and onboarding compliance requirements.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all EOR onboarding request.
4. Other Projects and Reports
- Perform other projects from time to time as assigned.
- Manage and report on onboarding metrics.
What You Will Bring Here
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Psychology or equivalent related business experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a high-volume onboarding management environment.
- 1 -2 years of experience managing a team.
Desired Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with UKG Onboarding platform strongly preferred.
- Expertise with performing pre-employment screenings via online platforms.
- Keen understanding of I9 requirements, onboarding best practices, and
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, email, and Internet applications

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership, ability to lead a team of direct reports.

- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Solid problem-solving skills including root cause analysis.

The salary at hire is expected to be between $75,000-$85,000 per year. Performance-based variable compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.
