About the Team
The team’s goal is to extend the growth and reach of the program to serve the middle third of high school students by growing participation, serving more underrepresented students, and supporting teachers and schools to help students succeed. The team within this department is dedicated to bringing innovative approaches to program teaching and learning to scale that are inspired by and build on the needs, experiences, and insights of our educator and student communities.
We work closely with our colleagues across several departments to ensure that we are aligned in all efforts to promote the work of Courses and Programs to a wide range of audiences including students, parents, educators, policymakers, the media, member organizations and staff.
About the Opportunity
As Project Manager, Instructional Services, you facilitate Instructional Services workflows. You are a collaborative, organized problem-solver who continuously looks for opportunities to increase efficiency. You have a keen understanding of project management and the ability to proactively communicate with internal and external team members. You remain adaptable and optimistic when project details and responsibilities change. You enthusiastically take initiative in your work and are motivated to grow and learn.
In this role you will:
Provide project management and coordination across Instructional Services project portfolio (40%)
- Coordinate instructional services schedules and timelines including development, pre-production, production, and post-production for all instructional services.
- Verify all internal and external team members remain informed of incremental milestones and project deadlines, predicting and preventing roadblocks as they arise.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project status and review processes, oversee and communicate revisions and updates to Instructional Services team leaders
- Propose workflows that satisfy the constraints of timelines, scope, and deadlines for each project, developing repeatable templates that can be used to scale up production.
Provide workflow support to Instructional Services team members (40%)
- Provide workflow support to the instructional services team to deliver on project milestones.
- Lead quality control checks of content and implement fixes for editing and design errors.
- Manage communications for committee members when coordinating and receiving questions about contracts, travel, meetings, etc. Engage in ongoing support and needs that arise for the team.
Facilitate problem-solving and continuous improvement (20%)
- Collaborate continuously with project leads to refine processes that will create less friction and fewer errors in Instructional Services delivered to teachers and students.
- Coordinate with the Program Access Product Management team to ensure alignment of Professional Learning system testing and development timelines.
You have:
- 3+ years of experience in project management.
- Excellent problem-solving and planning skills, including high attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently to meet internal deadlines.
- Fluency with project management software, spreadsheets, and tools.
- Flexibility to do tasks that help meet the timelines/deliverables of the team.
- Availability to travel to attend scheduled meetings (up to 8 a year)
