Associate Director, Strategic Impact Partnerships, External Engagement and Infrastructure

Team: State and District Partnerships

Location: Remote

Type: Temporary. Expected duration 3 to 6 months.

About the Team

The State and District Partnerships team is a high energy group focused on expanding opportunities for students by collaborating with educators in high schools, school districts, and state education agencies. The team promotes the use of evidence based programs and services and ensures partners have the support needed to implement them effectively.

Within this team, Strategic Impact Partnerships leads national engagement strategies that broaden reach, influence, and impact. The group cultivates high value partnerships with education associations and cross sector organizations to create access to state leaders, district decision makers, and national education influencers. By translating national visibility into regional opportunity, the team strengthens the sales pipeline, cultivates strategic champions, and accelerates adoption of key programs in partnership with regional leaders.

Role Overview

The Associate Director, Strategic Impact Partnerships, External Engagement and Infrastructure will advance national engagement efforts and ensure that external partnerships and high visibility engagements convert into measurable pipeline growth and regional impact. The role sits at the intersection of national partnerships and regional execution. You will activate conferences and association engagements, generate qualified leads, develop strategic champions, and support multi year district growth. You will also build the operating infrastructure that helps the team scale what works, including follow through with regional teams and repeatable models that turn visibility into opportunity.

What You Will Do

External Engagement and Partnership Activation 60 percent

  • Plan and execute national conferences, association engagements, and external events to drive qualified leads and cultivate strategic champions.
  • Align engagement strategy with regional priorities, including target districts and growth accounts.
  • Design and activate approaches that convert external engagement into measurable pipeline and influence.
  • Partner with regional teams to ensure clear handoff, timely follow up, and activation of opportunities generated through national engagement.
  • Serve as a credible spokesperson at educator, district, and student facing events.
  • Evaluate engagement impact by analyzing contributions to pipeline, adoption, and retention. Use insights to refine future strategy.

Engagement Insights, Reporting, and Automation 30 percent

  • Oversee engagement budgets, procurement coordination, invoicing, and compliance for responsible execution of high visibility engagements.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and regional teams to implement AI enabled workflows that streamline intake, lead routing, and reporting, improving lead activation and conversion.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that connect engagement activity to pipeline generation and regional growth priorities.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership to inform planning and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliant and professional management of student and educator facing requirements, including media releases and ambassador documentation.
  • Build and manage systems that translate external engagement into pipeline, including lead tracking, champion development, and retention signals.

Special Projects 10 percent

  • Lead divisional or regional initiatives assigned by leadership, with a focus on building and operationalizing new work streams that align with organizational priorities.

About You

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in project management, event execution, external engagement, or sales enablement within education, nonprofit, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated success turning external engagement into measurable outcomes such as lead generation, conversion, stakeholder influence, or pipeline growth.
  • Strong relationship building skills with executive presence and sound judgment in student, educator, and partnership facing environments.
  • Comfortable as an entrepreneurial self starter in a fast moving setting. Effective with high profile large audiences and small focused groups.
  • Confidence using AI and automation tools to increase efficiency and scale impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage systems such as SharePoint, Salesforce, CVENT, or similar to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow through.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25 percent.

Role Logistics

  • Location: Remote within the United States.
  • Travel: Up to 25 percent for conferences and partner engagements.
  • Duration: Temporary assignment expected to last 3 to 6 months from start date.

 

 

 Pay Rate Range: $40-$50 per hr (Depending on Experience)
