Pay Rate: $60.00 - $80/hour based on experience


Our client is seeking a dynamic Head of Quality and Regulatory to lead their Quality Team and drive excellence across our Full pack and turnkey division in North America, providing valued quality to the company's cosmetics partners. As Head of Quality and Regulatory, you'll provide uncompromising attention to detail solving and managing quality issues for packaging and beauty lab production orders. Quality issues are those problems that are attributed to a product order that has already been verified and during production order that has not met the before agreed-upon requirements set by either the factory, the company, or the customer. You'll be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance for packaging and manufacturing.

Position Relationships

This position reports directly to the General Manager while leading your own team of US Quality and Packaging Regulatory professionals. Get ready to collaborate with an exciting mix of teams including:

  • Engineering and development teams
  • Project managers
  • China and Mexico engineering teams
  • Mexico and China quality teams
  • Turnkey Contract Manufacturers
  • Sales and account management teams

Together, you'll identify root causes, implement solutions, and bring high-quality products to market while ensuring all regulatory documentation flows seamlessly across our global operations.

Essential Duties

  • Drive swift resolution of quality issues on production orders for package and formula orders
  • Develop strategic planning, direction, and control of US quality activities and Packaging Regulatory
  • Create and implement continual quality process improvements annually
  • Conduct annual Quality audits following ISO 22716 guidelines of Contract Manufacturers for turnkey production
  • Oversee commercialization and scale-up of turnkey formulations at Contract Manufacturers
  • Ensure Regulatory compliance for packaging manufactured at partner facilities
  • Develop, coach, and mentor your team to achieve excellence
  • Provide leadership for documented and repeatable quality processes
  • Support Sales by engaging directly with customers on quality matters
  • Optimize team resources to meet package and formula quality requirements
  • Resolve customer issues through direct communication and relationship building
  • Lead or participate in strategic projects that drive business growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in quality, packaging engineering, or related fields from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 15 years in technical packaging support within cosmetics, beauty packaging, or related CPG environment
  • At least 7 years in a leadership role
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to use or learn Salesforce.com software
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for quality initiatives
