Job: Senior Software Engineer – Energy Trading (Endur)

Role Overview
We’re seeking a Senior ETRM Software Engineer with deep OpenLink Endur expertise to design, build, and support fit‑for‑purpose technology solutions for the North America Crude & Products business. You’ll collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders, IT teams, and subject matter experts across a global organization to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with full SDLC ownership and opportunities to mentor junior engineers and influence engineering best practices.
What You’ll Do
- Translate requirements into designs: Convert functional requirements into technical specifications with input from SMEs and Design Authority.
- Prototype & pilot new solutions: Evaluate and implement new technologies—including procurement, setup, development, demo, and deployment.
- Execute full SDLC: Support projects and run/production across requirements, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
- Build for scale: Determine and design solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and support a global business footprint.
- Own Endur customizations: Develop Endur components (JVS/OpenComponents), integrations, and workflows aligned to trading operations.
- Optimize performance: Write and tune SQL/PL/SQL; address memory management considerations for JVS/OpenComponents scripts.
- Integrate systems: Utilize Connex, Grid Enabled Scripts (GES), Operation Services, TPM, and data pipelines (e.g., Informatica).
- Partner with the business: Develop open, trusting relationships with stakeholders and users; convert business needs into practical solutions.
- Drive quality: Promote coding, testing, and design best practices; contribute to continuous improvement and agile ceremonies.
- Mentor & uplift: Coach junior engineers; foster a collaborative, knowledge‑sharing team culture.
- Contribute globally: Participate in local and global IT community activities to standardize practices and accelerate delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
- OpenLink Endur (v11+) functional and technical experience, including hands‑on development with JVS and OpenComponents.
- Strong engineering background with Java and .NET for Endur-adjacent services and integrations.
- Expertise with Oracle Database, SQL/PL‑SQL, and Informatica; in‑depth knowledge of Endur’s database schema with the ability to write/tune SQL.
- Practical experience implementing Connex, Grid Enabled Scripts (GES), Operation Services, and Trade Process Management (TPM).
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve memory management issues in JVS/OpenComponents.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (VSTS/Boards, Git/Repos) and modern SDLC workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and demand requests in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills in cross‑functional teams; effective communication with business analysts and stakeholders.
- Full SDLC experience in a corporate setting, including change management, application testing, data integrity, patch management, and end‑user support/training.
- ETRM domain expertise in at least one of the following: Trade Capture, Risk Management, Scheduling & Operations, or Settlements & Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or enhancing business-critical components to unlock measurable value from technology solutions.
- Familiarity with energy or financial market products and the full trade lifecycle from capture to settlement.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and elevating team standards in architecture, code quality, testing, and observability.
- Comfortable operating within global teams and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.

Candidate Requirements (Summary)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S., full‑time, for any employer.
- Intermediate–Expert level corporate application development & support experience.
- Proven experience with ETRM systems (Endur preferred) and commodity trading workflows.
- End‑to‑end SDLC experience through production support.
- Ability to manage change, ensure data integrity, and support patching and end‑user training.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Pay Rate: $95 hr - $125 hr
