About the Team and Opportunity

The Strategic Sourcing function is evolving from transactional purchasing to a strategic, partner led model. These Generalist roles will help accelerate that transformation by owning sourcing activities for agreements under 100,000 in the assigned category, delivering measurable value while supporting risk management and compliance.

We are hiring one Generalist focused on Technology and one Generalist focused on Marketing and Professional Services. Candidates should clearly indicate which single role they are pursuing and why.

What You Will Do

Strategic Sourcing and Category Support

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize spend, reduce risk, and enhance value, aligned to business objectives.
  • Conduct market research, competitive events, and supplier evaluations for deals under 100,000.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers and standardize solutions without sacrificing service quality.
  • Update strategies based on market analysis and risk assessments.

Supplier and Contract Management

  • Lead supplier selection for assigned engagements under 100,000 in total contract value.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and SLAs to achieve favorable cost, risk, and performance outcomes.
  • Partner with Legal, Information Security, and related governance teams to capture security, compliance, and business requirements in contracts.
  • Support supplier performance reviews and escalation processes.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on sourcing approaches, timelines, and trade offs within the assigned category scope.
  • Proactively engage with business partners to understand goals, roadmap, and demand forecasts.
  • Improve contract compliance, supplier performance, and policy adherence through collaborative execution.

Data and Process Excellence

  • Analyze spend data to benchmark and identify savings and efficiency opportunities.
  • Build category cost models and total cost of ownership analyses to inform recommendations and track impact.
  • Use procurement platforms and enterprise AI tools to generate insight and accelerate decision making.

Category Specific Focus

Technology (1 opening)

  • Scope includes SaaS, cybersecurity, enterprise software, hardware, cloud and hosting, and emerging technology services.
  • Manage sourcing events and agreements under 100,000 while ensuring value, security, and compliance.

Marketing and Professional Services (1 opening)

  • Scope includes marketing, consulting, and print services.
  • Manage sourcing events and agreements under 100,000 while ensuring value and compliance.

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
  • Direct experience in one of the following:
  • Technology category sourcing, or
  • Marketing and Professional Services category sourcing
  • Familiarity with ERP, supplier management, and contract lifecycle management tools.

Skills and Attributes

  • Working knowledge of category suppliers and market trends for either Technology or Marketing and Professional Services.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic problem solving skills with the ability to create data based insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities with stakeholder influence experience.
  • Proven collaboration across Legal, Finance, Security, and business teams.
  • High integrity, initiative, curiosity, and strong organization.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, mission driven, cross functional environment.

Certifications

CPSM, PMP, Lean or Six Sigma, or ISM certifications are preferred.

Pay Rate Range: $40-$50 per hr (Depending on Experience)
