Safety Administration Officer - Casual Full Time

NextGen Skills are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team, you will play a key role in the Apprentice Employment team with a primary focus on Safety.

About Us:

NextGen Skills are a not-for-profit organisation, focusing on providing education, training and employment solutions, with a particular emphasis on Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

Duties will include, but not limited to: 

  • Facilitate the completion of host safety assessments with host employers (existing and new as directed) in line with organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including the Safety Team, to ensure accurate and compliant safety documentation.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, particularly host employers, to collect required safety information and documentation.
  • Ensure safety assessment forms are completed in full, reviewed, and approved by the Safety Team.
  • Upload completed and approved safety assessments to Workforce One (WF1) promptly.
  • Maintain clear records of safety assessment activities, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
  • Monitor outstanding assessments and proactively follow up to ensure completion within required timeframes.
  • Escalate risks, delays, or non-compliance issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions. 

What we are looking for: 

  • Experience as an employer of apprentices or supervision of apprentices in the workplace is highly desirable
  • Understanding of the practical workings of the apprenticeship system
  • Understanding and demonstration of a proactive approach to safety
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to young people in a working environment, and to provide guidance, supervision and mentoring to apprentices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to a range of stakeholders
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as required
