Position: Enrolled Nurse - Level 3 Advancement (Internal Applicants Only)
Location: Across NCN
Status: Permanent Part Time or Full Time (Part Time contract to be 0.6 EFT or greater)
Salary/ Hourly rate: $35.9150 to $39.7947 dependent on contract hours, qualifications and experience plus 11.5% superannuation
About the Role:
NCN Health have an exciting opportunity for current Enrolled Nurse Level 2 to advance to Enrolled Nurse Level 3 within our teams in NCN Health.
The Enrolled Nurse Level 3 (Advanced EN) classification is a clinical role that includes advanced skills and/or additional responsibilities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or area manager as defined in the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024. Progression to the EN Level 3 Advanced role is attained via application, after successfully meeting the EN3 Advancement criteria and four of the ten advanced EN3 competency standards which may include.
- Contribution to the education of new graduate Enrolled Nurses and/or Trainee Enrolled Nurses
- Involvement in committees and working parties within and/or beyond the work area
- Assistance to coordinate and delegated activities of other ENs under the guidance and direction of the RN or area manager
- Performing as a resource for others
- Contribution to quality improvement
- Practices using specialised or advanced knowledge and skills in a clinical area within the EN scope of practice
- Modifying practice to accommodate patient/health care needs of individuals and groups in different environments
- Undertakes an additional responsibility either individually or as part of a clinical/quality team
- Is able to discuss the implications of Acts and legislation governing practice
- Team leadership and decision making
What we are looking for:
- Vaccination against Covid-19 is a mandatory requirement
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
- Successfully meets the criteria for EN Level 3 Advanced EN classification (In accordance with the Nurses and Midwives EA)
To meet the advancement criteria, an EN is to meet both eligibility criteria as follows:
- Can provide evidence of achievement of four out of the ten Advanced EN Level 3 Competency Standards, (as set out in the Information Pack) AND
Either
- Complete a minimum of four years post registration experience as an Enrolled Nurse
Or
- Complete a post registration qualification (of at least 6 months or 220 hours duration), a component of which is relevant to the role.
