Position: Hume Rural Generalist Medical Workforce Officer, Victorian Rural Generalist Program
Location: This position may be based in Shepparton, Numurkah, Yarrawonga or Wangaratta
EFT/Hours: 1.0 EFT (80 Hours Per Fortnight) with a monthly ADO
Status: Temporary Full Time - Until 30th June 2026
Salary: FT $ 42.2200 plus 11.5% superannuation
About the Role:
NCN Health have an exciting opportunity for a Hume Rural Generalist Medical Workforce Officer, Victorian Rural Generalist Program to join our team in across the Hume Region. The Hume Rural Generalist Medical Workforce Officer (RG Workforce Officer) will play a crucial role in the management of the Victorian Rural Generalist Program (VRGP) across the Hume region and provide support to trainees in establishing links between all stakeholders involved in the training, education and employment of rural generalists.
The RG Workforce Officer will receive direction from and work collaboratively with the Hume Regional Network to achieve the program objectives in the implementation and expansion of VRGP across the region, aligned with health service and community need.
The Hume Region Coordinator and the Statewide Rural Generalist Coordinator will provide guidance and direction to the Hume RG Workforce Officer to support them in achieving the VRGP objectives for the region as outlined in the VRGP Program Management Framework.
The RG Workforce Officer must be willing and available to travel extensively throughout their region and State to support trainees, supervisors and mentors. Face-to-face contact, either in person or ‘virtual’ is an integral part of the education support function. In addition, RG Workforce Officer will be responsible for the provision of secretariat support for the regional network and the delivery of marketing, engagement and education activities.
What we are looking for:

- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including developing and maintaining communication channels and networks with clinicians across healthcare settings.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse range of stakeholders including clinicians and trainees to achieve identified program objectives.
- Current knowledge of contemporary rural and regional medical workforce issues and programs.
