Position:         Allied Health Educator

Location:        NCN Health

EFT/Hours:   0.4 EFT (32 Hours Per Fortnight)

Status:          Part Time Fixed Term to 3/11/2024 (Long Service Leave Cover)

Salary/ Hourly rate:   AHP1 Grade 3 or VPHS Grade 3 – Dependant on profession, qualifications and experience plus 11% superannuation.

 About the Role:

NCN Health have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Educator to join our Education Team, working across NCN Health.

The Allied Health Educator manages and coordinates undergraduate and other student placements in the Allied Health professions across NCN Health. 

The role will provide liaison between UoM Going Rural Health program, education providers, clinical supervisors and students to coordinate the orientation, structure and evaluation of clinical placements. The Allied Health Educator will also support staff in the development and practice of their supervisory skills and promote inter-professional education and high-quality learning opportunities using a range of modalities. 

The Allied Health Educator maintains high professional standards, works collaboratively to promote inter professional education and provide high quality learning opportunities using a range of modalities which will enable students and new graduates to practice as safe, confident and accountable clinicians.

The Allied Health Educator works in collaboration with the Education Co-ordinator to oversee allied health student placements across NCN Health and promote clinical placement opportunities for students.

What we are looking for:

  • Vaccination against Covid-19 is a mandatory requirement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Allied Health profession, and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) where relevant.
  • Proven clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of allied health services across a range of settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and implement education programs.
