Numurkah Acute and Urgent Care Centre are seeking an experience Nursing manager to lead the daily operations and provide strategic direction for the ward. Being able to model the values of Respect, Accountability and Partnership are vital to this role.

Position:       Nurse Unit Manager

Location:      Numurkah

Hours/EFT:   1.0 EFT (80 Hours Per Fortnight)

Status:          Permanent Full Time

Salary/ Hourly rate:   $65.5500 plus 12% superannuation

About the Role:

We are offering a short-term opportunity for a current staff member to NCN Health to fill the role of Nurse Unit Manager - Acute/UCC in Numurkah, while permanent recruitment into the role if completed. This is a great opportunity for a current Registered Nurse to demonstrate and expand their leadership and clinical management experience.

The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the effective management and operations of the Acute Ward including the busy Urgent Care Centre. The position will form part of the management team of NCN Health and is accountable for ensuring the Acute Ward and Urgent Care Departments model of care aligns with the strategic goals of the organisation.

 What we are looking for:

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Degree qualified in Nursing
  • Previous positive experience in both people and budget management
  • High level clinical skills to lead and support workforce clinical outcomes
  • Vaccination against Covid-19 is highly recommended
