Salary/ Hourly rate: PT $43.6283 to $52.2026 per hour plus 12% superannuation plus casual loading

About the Role

NCN Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Theatre team in Numurkah. This position requires current perioperative experience, including proficiency in Pre-Admission Anaesthetics, Operating Theatre, Recovery, CSSD, and the Day Procedure Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, demonstrating clinical excellence, and working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care within the perioperative environment.
  • Assess, prioritise, and manage patient care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the broader healthcare team.
  • Ensure compliance with best practice guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

About You

  • Vaccination against seasonal Influenza (mandatory)
  • Vaccination against Covid-19 (recommended)
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience in perioperative nursing, including at least one or more of the following areas: Anaesthetics, Theatre, Recovery, CSSD, or Day Procedure Unit.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Competence in intermediate computer skills.
  • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing (highly desirable).

Please note: This position is not suitable for newly graduated Registered Nurses or those with limited perioperative experience, including student placements.
