Position: Manager Allied Health and Chronic Disease

EFT/Hours: 1.0 EFT (80 Hours Per Fortnight)
Status: Full-time permanent
Salary/ Hourly rate: Hourly rate will be dependent on qualification and experience.
About the Role:
The Manager Allied Health and Chronic Disease provides operational and clinical leadership, management and direction for the Allied Health and Chronic Disease programs across NCN Health, including Allied Health, Chronic Disease and Mental Health programs, Access and Intake, Moira Community Rehabilitation Centre and the Moira Respiratory Program ensuring that all clinicians are well supported in their individual roles.
The role is responsible for the delivery of client focused services in our Allied Health and Chronic Disease department through innovative models of care that align with the strategic goals of the organisation, and will ensure the provision of high-quality care, a sound and sustainable financial position, strong staff engagement and support, effective relationships with the community and consumers to meet the complex needs of our progressive allied health and chronic disease services.
The position works collaboratively with the Director Integrated Community Health and will form part of the management team of NCN Health to ensure that high quality and evidenced based best practice is adhered to in accordance with relevant legislation, quality and safety standards, industrial agreements and organisational policies and procedures.
The Manager Allied Health and Chronic Disease will support day to day operational requirements, program planning, and quality improvement activities, and will demonstrate appropriate clinical expertise and leadership to both role model and mentor the attributes, behaviours, knowledge and skills to achieve high-quality services with the Allied health and Chronic Disease team and the wider Integrated Community Health department.
What we are looking for:
- Vaccination against Covid-19 is strongly encouraged
- Allied Health Professional with current certification from the Australian Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Registered Nurse Division 1 with current certification from AHPRA.
- Minimum of five years post graduate experience as an Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse, including highly developed clinical knowledge and skills relevant to Allied Health and Chronic Disease Services.
- Demonstrated management or leadership experience and ability to provide effective clinical leadership, foster collaboration and integration, and motivate a team in a multi-disciplinary environment, while ensuring commitment and adherence to the principles of quality health care.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and managing service delivery including rosters, budgets, financial management and activity reporting.
- Knowledge and experience in quality improvement processes and ability to lead improvement or service innovation activities.
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to efficiently manage multiple demands and tasks simultaneously.
- Highly developed computer literacy skills including proficient use of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience including accurate and timely client data management.
