Auswide Bank, is seeking an experienced Operations Support Officer to join our Support Services Operations team. In February 2025, Auswide Bank merged with MyState Bank to become a wholly owned subsidiary of MyState Bank Limited, part of the MyState Limited Group.
While we’ve seen many changes over the years, our goal still remains the same – to provide Australians a genuine alternative to the big banks.
This role is suited to a detail-oriented banking professional who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely and compliant outcomes. This is a permanent, part-time position (36 hours per fortnight) and is based with the team in Bundaberg.
About the Role
As a Support Operations Officer, you will provide high-quality operational and administrative support across a broad range of banking services. You will be responsible for managing reconciliations, regulatory reporting, estates processing, investigations and first-line risk activities, while contributing to continuous improvement within Support Services.
This role requires previous experience working in a banking or customer specialist environment at a competent level.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing reconciliations, reporting, audit tasks and accounts payable activities
- Managing regulatory requirements, including AML reporting and Unclaimed Monies
- Processing Deceased Estates and Public Trustee requests in line with Bank policy
- Managing BPAY investigations and correcting payment errors
- Supporting branches with cash ordering, returns and damaged cash claims
- Responding to internal and external enquiries via phone, email and shared inboxes
- Performing general maintenance on savings and term deposit accounts
- Supporting first‑line defence activities, including identifying and escalating fraud or compliance concerns
- Assisting team members and contributing to ad hoc tasks and improvement initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in a banking, financial services or customer specialist environment
- Strong understanding of banking products, terms & conditions and operational processes
- Working knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to banking
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- A positive, flexible approach to change and continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team environment
Experience or willingness to develop skills in Six Sigma, Nintex and SharePoint will be highly regarded.
