Join an ASX-listed Australian financial services organisation where you can influence strategic decisions, deliver meaningful change and help shape workplaces that support both people and performance.

At MyState, we're combining the strength and stability of a listed company with the agility and ambition of a growing challenger bank. We're looking for an experienced property leader to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Hobart or Brisbane, to lead our Property Services function and deliver key initiatives across our national property portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Integration and Transformation Officer, you'll have the opportunity to drive strategic outcomes that support our people, customers and business ambitions.

The Opportunity

As Head of Property Services, you'll lead a specialist team and oversee MyState's property portfolio, ensuring our workplaces remain safe, compliant, cost-effective and fit for purpose. You'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working closely with leaders across the organisation as well as external partners, landlords and service providers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing MyState's property strategy to support business priorities and workforce needs.
  • Managing leases, landlord relationships, renewals, negotiations and property transactions.
  • Leading refurbishments, relocations, branch and office projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Overseeing property operating budgets, capital expenditure and financial performance.
  • Strengthening governance, compliance, risk practices and supplier performance.
  • Providing strategic advice, insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Ensuring our workplaces remain safe, accessible, secure and support a positive employee experience.

This role offers significant visibility across the business and the opportunity to leave a lasting impact during a period of transformation and growth.

What You'll Bring

You're an experienced property, facilities or workplace leader with a strong track record of delivering commercial outcomes across complex portfolios.

You'll bring:

  • Senior leadership experience managing property, facilities or workplace portfolios, ideally within banking, financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Strong commercial capability across lease negotiations, supplier management, contracts and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience delivering refurbishments, fit-outs, relocations or capital works projects.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, compliance, physical security and business continuity requirements.
  • Proven financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting and business case development.
  • The ability to influence, collaborate and deliver outcomes through both direct leadership and cross-functional partnerships.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role within an ASX-listed organisation where you'll shape workplace strategy, influence key decisions and see the direct impact of your work across the business.

For candidates in Brisbane, you'll join a growing financial services organisation with the opportunity to help shape what comes next. For those in Hobart, you'll join one of Tasmania's most recognised financial institutions, with deep community connections and a strong sense of purpose.

At MyState, you'll enjoy the flexibility and support to do your best work, including hybrid working where the role allows, the ability to purchase additional leave, wellbeing initiatives, learning opportunities and a culture that encourages people to collaborate, innovate and chase better outcomes together.

Most importantly, you'll be part of an organisation that invests in its people, customers and communities, creating opportunities to make a meaningful contribution every day.
