Project Manager

Lead end-to-end project delivery, driving complex initiatives from concept to implementation while managing stakeholders, risks, budgets and outcomes.

This role is well suited to a delivery‑focused Project Manager with strong analytical capability, vendor‑led delivery experience, and the confidence to work with business SMEs for business, testing and readiness requirements. The successful candidate will bring experience in having led HRIS type initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of MyState’s Humanforce HR and Talent implementation, partnering with business, technology and vendor.
• Work with SMEs to define requirements, business processes and implementation priorities.
• Manage data migration, testing, system integrations and go-live readiness activities.
• Manage project risks, issues, budgets and governance reporting.
• Drive business readiness, stakeholder engagement, training and operational handover.
• Ensure successful project delivery through effective planning, decision making and stakeholder management.

About you

You are a pragmatic Project Manager who can operate beyond standard project coordination. You are comfortable facilitating workshops, asking practical questions, documenting decisions, managing vendors, and supporting business teams through requirements, testing, data readiness and change. You do not need to be a specialist Business Analyst, but you must bring enough analytical experience to cover light BA activity on a vendor-led implementation.

Key skills and experience

• Experience delivering HRIS, payroll, SaaS, digital or system implementation projects.
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to gather requirements, facilitate workshops and support business process design.
• Experience with data migration, testing, go-live readiness and post-implementation support.
• Strong project governance, risk, financial and reporting capability.
• Ability to work effectively across HR, Payroll, Technology and business teams.
•  Experience in banking, financial services or other regulated environments is advantageous.

Qualifications & experience

• Degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is desirable
• Minimum 5 years project delivery experience, preferably including system implementation and organisational change impacts.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, take ownership and drive delivery outcomes.
•  Comfortable operating in a fast-paced organisation where flexibility and a hands-on approach are essential.
