Work directly with senior leaders and help shape sourcing strategy in one of Tasmania's most recognisable ASX-listed financial services organisations.
This isn't a procurement role where you'll spend your days processing contracts and chasing approvals.
This is an opportunity to become a trusted commercial partner in a growing ASX-listed financial services organisation, working directly with senior leaders to influence sourcing decisions, strengthen strategic vendor partnerships, and help shape how we manage one of the bank's most important business functions.
At MyState, we're growing, evolving and investing in the future. As we continue to strengthen our vendor management and sourcing capability, we're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Partner who wants more visibility, more influence and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to our Head of Vendor Management & Strategic Sourcing, you'll join a small, high-performing team where your contribution will be visible, valued and trusted.
You'll work across the organisation, partnering with executives, business leaders, risk, legal and operational teams to deliver sourcing initiatives, support strategic decision-making and strengthen vendor performance across the business.
This is a role for someone who enjoys sitting at the table with decision-makers, asking the right questions, analysing complex information and influencing outcomes that deliver long-term value.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading strategic sourcing activities and supporting end-to-end procurement outcomes
- Providing commercial insights and recommendations that influence business decisions
- Managing vendor governance, performance monitoring and contract lifecycle activities
- Analysing spend, supplier performance and market trends to identify opportunities and risks
- Supporting compliance with regulatory frameworks, including CPS230
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Driving improvements in sourcing processes, reporting and vendor management practices
What You'll Bring
We're less interested in titles and more interested in capability.
You may come from procurement, sourcing, commercial management, vendor management, consulting or a related commercial environment.
What will set you apart is your ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, influence decisions and bring a commercial mindset to complex business challenges.
You'll likely have:
- Experience within banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
- Confidence presenting insights and recommendations to senior leaders
- Experience managing vendor relationships, sourcing projects or commercial agreements
- A proactive, curious and improvement-focused approach
- The ability to balance stakeholder needs, risk considerations and commercial outcomes
Why Join MyState?
As a growing ASX-listed financial services organisation, we're large enough to offer meaningful career opportunities but agile enough for you to make a genuine impact.
You'll join a business where your ideas are welcomed, your work is visible and your contribution helps shape what comes next.
Along with flexible working arrangements, you'll have access to wellbeing support, learning and development opportunities, employee banking benefits and a culture built on collaboration, authenticity and continuous improvement.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a team where you'll work closely with experienced leaders, gain exposure to executive decision-making and have the opportunity to influence outcomes across the organisation.
Ready to Apply?
If you're looking for a role where you can move beyond process, partner with senior leaders and play a key role in an organisation that's growing and evolving, we'd love to hear from you by Tuesday 13th October 2026.
Employment with MyState is subject to background checks including Bankruptcy, Police, and Credit checks to verify your suitability to work in the finance sector.
We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating an inclusive work environment where everyone is valued.
