As a growing Australian financial services organisation, we're looking for a strategic and influential leader to join us as Head of Credit Risk. This is a critical enterprise role with broad impact across the Group, providing independent oversight and leadership of credit risk while helping shape sustainable growth and future success.

As the senior Line 2 authority on credit risk, you'll play a key role in supporting executive and board decision-making, influencing risk strategy and ensuring our lending portfolios remain strong, resilient and aligned to risk appetite.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you'll lead the Credit Risk function and be accountable for the ongoing development and oversight of MyState's Credit Risk Framework, Lending Policy Framework and Delegated Lending Authority Framework. You'll provide independent challenge and expert advice across consumer, commercial, broker, private banking, equipment finance and specialised lending portfolios, ensuring robust governance and effective risk management practices are embedded across the organisation.

This role offers significant visibility across the business, working closely with executive leaders, governance committees and regulators while leading a team of experienced risk professionals. You'll oversee portfolio monitoring, credit assurance, stress testing, credit model governance and emerging risk insights, helping drive informed decision-making and portfolio resilience. You'll also be instrumental in supporting strategic transformation initiatives and continuous improvement across credit risk practices.

What You'll Bring

You're an accomplished credit risk executive with deep expertise gained within banking or financial services. You bring a track record of leading enterprise-wide credit risk frameworks, lending policy, portfolio oversight and governance, combined with the ability to influence stakeholders at the highest levels.

You'll also bring:

• Significant senior leadership experience across credit risk, portfolio management, credit assurance and lending governance.
• Strong knowledge of prudential and regulatory requirements relating to credit risk, responsible lending and customer outcomes.
• Experience engaging with boards, executive committees and regulators, providing trusted advice and constructive challenge.
• A strategic mindset, commercial acumen and the ability to use data and insights to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• An inclusive leadership style that builds capability, drives accountability and fosters high-performing teams.
