Water Technology Traineeship

MRAEL are partnering with Almar Water Solutions to offer a Water Technology Traineeship, commencing in January 2025.

This is a great opportunity for a current year 12 student with a strong interest in water technology, seeking a hands-on learning opportunity whilst working towards a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

This position would be suitable for a candidate located in Pittsworth or Millmerran.

Almar Water Solutions is a leading company in the water sector, renowned for its expertise in developing long-term water solutions.

What’s involved?

As a Water Technology Trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals while receiving structured training in the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities.

You will gain practical experience in the daily operations required to manage two water treatment plants and a water pipeline. You will also:

• learn to monitor PH levels and chlorine levels
• Perform routine water sampling and testing procedures 
• Learn about chemical dosing systems and the clarification system

Roster: Monday to Friday - 7am - 3pm

Location: Millmerran Power Station

About you:

You will have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and work collaboratively with others. Our ideal candidate will have the following:

• Hold a current C Class Manual Drivers Licence
• White Card (or willing to obtain before commencing)
• Genuine interest in water and environmental management 
• Willingness to learn and effective problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with great initiative
