MRAEL in partnership in RoadTek Rockhampton are seeking a highly motivated and eager Business Administration Trainee.

What you will be doing:

As a Business Trainee, you will provide administrative support and learn daily project functions such as: 

  • Payroll activities 
  • Timesheeting 
  • Goods Receipting 
  • Requisitioning
  • Procurement 

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Monitoring the financial position of construction, maintenance and external civil works projects and provide early warnings to the project manager of any deviations beyond predetermined limits. 
  • Provide advice on project costing, industrial awards and financial matters and liaise with local departmental staff regarding problems, procedures and policies. 
  • Provide administration and project costing support (including the requisitioning of goods and services and monitoring their supply in accordance with the State Purchasing Policy 
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to obtain quotes and or prices for estimating or tendering purposes
  • Prepare and process employee timesheets as required
  • Utilise various computer programs, including Excel spreadsheets, word documents and costing programs

The successful applicant will have previous financial experience/exposure and effective customer service skills. You will be required to hold a white card, or willing to obtain before commencing.

  • Previous experience in account/bookkeeping
