About the Opportunity:

Kickstart your career with a dual-trade apprenticeship. MRAEL has partnered with Dyno Nobel to offer a premier Fitter/Machinist Apprenticeship. You will be employed by MRAEL and hosted by Dyno Nobel, a global leader in commercial explosives.

Dyno Nobel is an ASX100 industry frontrunner. The company manufactures and distributes industrial explosives and chemicals globally. This role connects you directly to the critical mining and infrastructure supply chain.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Overhaul pumps, maintain conveyor systems, and assist with turbine maintenance as required.
  • Drive operational reliability by executing scheduled and preventative maintenance on site plant and equipment.
  • Respond efficiently to assist with equipment breakdowns to restore plant operations safely.
  • Install and service a wide variety of mechanical components and machinery.
  • Guarantee that all mechanical work—from installation to commissioning—strictly aligns with Australian Standards and internal SOPs.
  • Provide technical expertise to project teams regarding maintenance scope, repairs, and asset replacements.
  • Trouble-shoot recurring mechanical issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.

What We Are Looking For

  • Academic Foundation: Good school attendance with passing grades in English and Maths.
  • Attitude: A strong willingness to learn and develop a long-term industry career.
  • Pre-requisites (Desirable): A completed Certificate II in Electrotechnology and prior electrical work experience.
  • Safety Focus: A natural alignment with rigorous safety standards in a heavy industrial sector.
  • Certificate II in Engineering and/or prior experience is highy regarded!
